Show your desktop

All the linux forums have one of these threads and linux is so flexible that a lot of people change their desktop themes on a regular basis so i thought what the heck, why not have one here. So show your desktops.

These are mine, some older ones first, i use KDE now although i used to be a Gnome user until late last year.

Last years

Dark clean

Dark busy

Another Dark one

My current desktop running Gentoo Linux

And incase your wondering about the big toolbar i keep using, its only because im as blind as a bat

Re: Show your desktop

I'm a GNOME user through and through but I am looking at KDE4 just now - not sure if I like it yet.

Anyway here is mine (at the moment).

Got to show off compizfusion because it's great and Vista can't do stuff like this!!

Re: Show your desktop

I still like Gnome but i have to admit since switching to KDE last year im really liking it and the beauty of Gentoo is KDE is in split builds so you can install only the parts you really want, not like a lot of distros that install the whole thing.

Re: Show your desktop

Here's my pretty straight forward Ubuntu setup...

I've been changing a few things recently though so it's not quite up to date.

Tinners,

I'm just setting up Ubuntu as my home server. What are you using to display all the info on the right hand side of your desktop please?

Thanks

Yes, it's quite a good tool.

If you search around you'll come up with the website that has some sample shots and configs.

If you want a copy of mine to get you started let me know.....
