Basically I want a 46" HDTV LCD for use with PS3, 360 and Sky HD. I want it to be full HD and aren't too fussed on price and make really, but don't want to be forking out much more than £1300. I've heard good things about the sony V3000 but am a little worried about the 8ms response time when playing fast moving games or watching football. There was a Sharp (I forget the model) that looked good with a much more respectable 4ms response, but wanted a bit of advice from here please!
Thanks in advance.

I'm in the same boat
Been looking around for a week or two
I've narrowed it down to either the Samsung 46" F86 or the Sony 46" W3000. (Both available for £1300)
They both seem to perform very well, the Samsung has the 100Hz option.
But then the Sony has a 10 bit panel and processing.
The Samsung's 100Hz option does seem to work in certain conditions, so may be useful.
But I haven't managed to work out whether a 10 bit panel is an real advantage. Its theoretically capable of displaying more colours but whether any source has 10 bit colour or whether the TV 'makes up' the extra 2 bits i don't know..??..
These 2 sets have got good reviews, see what you think
Do you or anyone know whether 10 bit colour is really worth it ?

I've read a few reviews and the Sharp is now firmly out of my mind! Not checked out the Samsung so may give that a look. Can anyone tell me the difference between the Sony V3000 and W3000?

The W3000 has 2 component connections whereas the V3000 has 1. W3000 has hdmi version 1.3, V3000 has version 1.2.
The W3000 is also a better all round model, better colours, black, sharpness and overall pic quality.

On speaking to my next door neighbour who owns a TV shop, I think I might be led toward the soon-to-be-released Panny 46PZ85 Plasma. Seen the 42" working and it's just sublime
