I have a budget of about £650.

Do i get the Sony KDL32D3000 which is an excellent 32" or do i increase the size and go for a 37"

I don't sit a huge distant away from the screen but i do play a lot of movies and use a ps3.

I'm unable to afford a high end 37+ tv so am i better going for the smaller screen which is a good market leader?

I was looking at the Panasonic TH-37PX80B 37in Plasma TV as an alternative to the Sony KDL32D3000

So, A higher end 32" or a lower end 37"?

Thanks

If you are gaming at all, go for the LCD.

I suggest a higher end 32" i.e. the D3000, not that the 37" Panny is bad.

But plasmas and games dont mix well, and the D3000 has gotten excellent reviews, especially with gaming.

so take the plasma out of the equation, if my budget is £650 is the sony 32" a better option than a low end 37"(whatever LCD that may be)?

37" tvs arent very common. Good 37"ers are plasmas mostly.

But I have a 37" R88 Samsung, which now costs around £500. There is also a 1080p 37" Samsung M86 at around £600-£650.

Personally, im perfectly happy with my 37" R88 for every type of use. So if it were up to me, I would take those extra 5 inches and go with a 37". Its your judgement, because both routes are perfectly sensible. Can you fit a 37" in your setup? Or are you willing to sacrifice size for pic quality?

Take your time, widen your prospects and hopefully you'll land a good one. As long as you are 100% on your choice whatever it is, you'll be happy (like me ).
