View Full Version : Which 32" LCD?

Im currently looking at buying a 32" LCD TV and am struggling to decide which is the best TV overall?!
The two that i reckon are top of my shopping list are the:
Samsung LE32M87BDX
LG 32LB75
does anyone have any info, opinions etc on which would be best out of these two / are there any better ones out there or any better ones due out soon that i'd be better hanging on for?

Hey,
I'm in the same boat as you, but I'm holding out to look at the Toshiba XV series that comes out in the next few weeks. They've got a great spec, and the price isnt too bad either (£550 on play.com).
Just want to have a look at one myself rather than taking the plunge based on spec alone!

In my opinion I wouldn't get the M87 and I would get the R87/R88 and save a bit of money. I have heard that the M87 has had a few problems with the backlight but don't just take my word. Check http://www.avforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=511377
Overall the M87 is a good TV and looks really good with HD but has a few niggles. As for the LG, I do not know so best to just go to your local store and compare them and ask if you could fiddle with the settings to get the best picture or you could just ask for a demo.

I think the best 32" available currently is the Sony 32D3000. Cheaper ones that are worth considerations are also 32S3000 or then the Sammy 32R87. There are new releases expected from Tosh, Sony etc but it will take awhile before we can hear some reviews from the users before we can be sure of, of the worthiness

I've just been browsing the comet website & there's now a new 32" samsung TV listed:
LE32A557P2FXXU
the spec on this looks better than the M87BDX?

its the new model replacing the M87 model
im thinking of the Samsung LE32M86BD £499 in dixons, looks pretty sweet, what you guys think?

I'm also doubting about this two models, except Samsung is R not M series. LG 32lb25 is very good LCD, got many awards, and users approval it.
