Hi All,

I have heard that sharing files between Windows and Linux on an NTFS partition might lead to data loss.

Does anyone know if this situation has recently improved to a level of stability that ensures no data loss, or do I need to set up a special FAT32 partition for this purpose?

Thanks for your help.:)

John.

Its safe enough to share on NTFS. The issue with Linux was that writing to an NTFS partition was experimental but that is much improved now. While i still dual booted before i never had any issues with data loss though.

Same here, never had an issue with data loss, 2 of my partitions are still NTFS and they are perfectly intact.

Thanks for your help guys. I feel much happier about introducing Linux to my system now.:)
