32" or 40" LCD

I am still very unsure of what size LCD to get. Looking at the models in shop doesnt really give a perspective of what they are going to look like in your lounge. I would be viewing the screen from approx 8 foot away. Would 40" be too big?

Yeah I totally agree - 32" would be too small, so a 40 inch would be great, or you could possibly consider a 37", depending on how you feel about the size. There's loads of info around the forums about 40 inch sets, and regarding 37", take a look here: Compilation of all 37" LCD TVs - 2008 models
