I'm about to buy my first hdtv, there are a few things I'm after;
Absolute maximum screen size of 26"
HDMI Port/s for futureproofing
connection for premium 360 (ie not hdmi)
vga/d-sub connection, as it'll be used with my mac mini in my room as well as the 360
look pretty good
I can theoretically go to about £500, but looking around I've found a load for less than that; these two are the front runners at the moment:
