Re: ps3 to yamaha av4101

connect an optical audio cable from the ps3,to one of the yamaha optical audio in ports.
select "optical" as the audio source in the ps3 settings, and carry out the audio test,on the ps3.
make sure though that the yamaha is switched on,and set on the correct input, for the optical you connected.

Not having much luck in understanding your query. What cables connect the PS3 to the Yamaha? How does the Yamaha connect to your TV? Is the HDMI cable used here? Which cable do you use to connect the PS3 to the TV?

from memory the yamaha is going to the tv with a hdmi and the ps3 is going to the tv with a hdmi. i think what i have to do is also take a optical from the ps3 to the yamaha.
