Will a sub fit into any speaker package

am i right in thinking that any decent sub will fit into any existing surround package.
i.e. the sub doesnt have to eb the same brand / model as the surrounds and centre?

Not always. If you have a sat-sub+amp-player combo, you may be limited by the connections/adjustments of the amp-player.

If your amplifier has a subwoofer line-level output (RCA) and allows bass management, then yes.
