Hi,
I'm looking to buy a 26" TV and using it as a PC monitor, to view SD TV (mainly football through cable TV) and for playing a xbox360 using the HD cable. Have around £450 saved any help would appreciated.

The Panasonic 26LXD70 is the best on the market at the moment but looking at current prices you are looking at around £500+
The Sony 26T3000 and Panasonic 26LMD70 are the next best models that can be had for around £420

I'm also currently looking for a 26" for my bedroom (Xbox 360 and PS3 use). The Panasonic 26LXD70 is definitely the best in the class, which is helped by having 100Hz refresh rate. However, it is also the most expensive; the cheapest place to get it from is www.rgbdirect.co.uk which is selling it for £530 inc. delivery
After that, the next best models are the Panasonic 26LMD70 (which offers some of the best picture quality in this class), the Sony KDL-26T3000 and the Samsung LE26R87BD

I've got the Sony T3000 sitting in my bedroom and it is a truly glourious little LCD I'd say go for it!

The t3000 can't take 1080p input can it? how does this affect it? I have my xbox connected to my 40w2000 downstairs ( in 1080p ). Would I have to change it to 720p for when I want to play it upstairs?

You could also consider the budget option from Ebuyer are selling the Vistron 26" for £249 or the 32" for £299, they get decent reviews.

I've decided on the Samsung 26r87. Looks cracking and has got positive reviews from it. Cant wait until it gets delivered. So the sammy would get my vote.
