Rambo 5

According to internet reports, Rambo will return for one more adventure following the success of the actor/director's recent Rambo.

Reports the streets of Bulgaria will double for Rambo's native Arizona in what is likely to be the final installment of the franchise.

Bulgaria has reportedly been chosen because it's much cheaper to film in Eastern Europe than it is in Arizona itself.

One plot rumor is the story will deal with John discovering he has a daughter, and his fight to save her from an evil cult.

We wait with baited breath for offical news if this movie actually happens.

Re: Rambo 5

Stalone said on his recent interview with Jonathan Woss that Rocky was done and put to bed but he wouldnt say no to doing a 5th Rambo for the right script.

He gave the impression that there where no plans at the time thou.

sounds interesting, but I'm not sure it would work. The latest one was fantastic, and ended things nicely I felt (spoiler) - when he was standing looking at all the survivors at the top of the bank and then went back home he had came full circle, and for me that was the perfect ending - spoiler ends.

I wouldn't want it to end up as a 24 type movie or indeed like 'Commando' which it sounds alot like from what you say.

I loved the films but feel that a line has to be drawn. Rambo is probably the most recognised film character alongside Indiana Jones and thats credit in itself.

Re: Rambo 5

Disappointing news. Making money wins out again. Shame, but they should have just been happy with how the recent Rambo filmed turned out and be done with it. I have a feeling the next one will be a turkey.

would you have said that if he wrote 4 and 5 and shot them back to back? - then it would feel like one film. I think 4 can be improved, but not sure moving out of the jungle will help - but if anything like No1, then it could be class.

Re: Rambo 5

How old will Stallone be by then? He's 60ish at the moment it would probably take another 3-4 years to get it to screen. Surely this is getting less and less likely by the second. Fair play to the guy doing a full action film at 65, but come on, how believable does it become when you have an old guy weilding going postal walking down the streets of Arizona, and his daughter will most likely being played by someone who looks under 21.

Number 4 was good, my opinion would be to let it lie, the end of the latest movie, kind of left it that way.

Rambo V is listed as early as next year - 2009 on IMDB and under news on Stallone's own website, no cast yet set.

Probably to be directed after his 2009 Edgar Allan Poe project.

Re: Rambo 5

Looks like a goer. In his commentary on Rambo, when he walks 'home', he says ".......but will he return......."
Definitely looks like he will now, and if its as good as the last one then I'm in.
