Samsung AV-R720 5.1 sources use LS/RS for LB/RB...

I have a Samsung AV-R720 with all 7.1 channels wired up and working... however, when I use 5.1 source material it uses LS/RS for rear effects instead of LB/RB and that pulls the sound stage artificially towards the front... how do I get around that?

I have the same receiver but I only have it wired as 5.1 for now. 7.1 is effectively 5.1 with the two extra speakers added at the back in-between the two 5.1 rears. So I'm assuming therefore that the two outermost surround speakers would be used for 5.1.

It's working how I would it expect it too work but then again I'm not an expert or ever had any other receiver so maybe this isn't the norm.

which is what it should be doing!

... the extra speakers on a 7.1 system are the "back" speakers ... not the surround ones!
