AV switch for component/optical

Hello folks, looking for a bit of advice.

Im looking for a switch box that will switch between component inputs with optical audio. Looking for something that wont ruin a decent HD signal and can be operated by remote control.

The joytech gets mixed reviews, anything much better?

Re: AV switch for component/optical

I had a joytech 245c for about a year, and I was very happy with it. I had Sky HD, WII, 360 and DVD running through it and it never gave me any trouble.

Only thing I could fault it on is the small range that the IR would recieve in. The remote had to be almost directly in frount of the unit and pointing straight at it to work.

Upgraded recently to a receiver with multiple component and optical inputs.

Hello ribbydibby

Have a look at the Zektor HDS4.1 - see http://www.zektor.com

The Joytech stuff is about the cheapest TBH and worth a punt second hand if you can find one on ebay. If you want a flawless bit of kit, check out the Zektor that Joe recommends. I got one for a place I worked at and it was brilliant and built like a tank which was necessity.
