Introducing....
Sterling "Black Mamba" SCL-01B Loudspeaker cable (2.5m x2)

Product description:

A superbly-balanced speaker cable at a superbly-judged price, unlike many a cable it does its job and stays in the background; essentially neutral in character, it neither adds to a system's sound nor detracts from it. Bass is deep, midrange is open and treble is sweet, with a fine degree of space and detail right across the frequencies. Smoothly effortless with anything from rock to classical, it will fit snugly in any set-up.

Employing high purity multi-strand OFC, coupled with special craftsmanship, this cable has the characteristics of extremely low resistance, low capacitance and low inductance.

Can I add I have a set of these beasts for my very modest hifi set up in the bedroom and there was an improvement in the sound, as described the music sounds the way it is supposed to, which you dont notice until you take away your original cable.

Hi Andy,

Glad to see you trading over here as I had a very good experience buying 2 pairs of the 'beast, from you before!:hiya:

I was wondering whether you would guide me where to get 4 spares banana plug connectors as I was using my ones with an old amp and I think I have damaged them :suicide:

Are you able to get some spare ones?

By the way, great cables and top service!

Couple of questions for you:

1.) In the picture there is a bi-wire set ? Is this correct, and does the non-bi wire set have the same 20mm diameter but only 2 cables coming out of each end?

2.) Where abouts in Bedford are you, Il be up there this weekend.

Hi adfinni, the pictures show a single run (amp to stereo speakers) tied up at both ends. A bi-wire purchase consists of just another identical box set.
As for collections in person, we can't facilitate this unfortunately, but delivery is very fast (usually next day). See 'Pricing, Payment methods and P&P' on the item description above for more info.

Hi Kamran,

With relation to connecting two cables together, I don't have any sort of adaptor (although there could be a third-party one floating around out there). It's not the best thing to do as it could leave the connections exposed, and impair the performance benefits of the cables.

Yes, we have a few more in stock, just let us know how many you require.
Also, we are open to wholesale enquiries, so if any retailer or seller reading this wants to stock them, let us know (discounts available for trade)

hi thanks for the reply and honest advice:thumbsup:.
i was going to connect 2 Black Mamba cables to get 5 meter lengths, but now i think ill use full lengths of a different cable, do u have any also something very thin so i can maybe run under the carpet.
i need 2, 5 meter lengths thanks again

NST
09-07-2008, 10:55 AM
I don't have anything that thin unfortunately. Try the 'QED Qontour Ultra Flat', available from most Hi-Fi dealers.

Hi NST,

Would you have a different length than the one advertised ?
I would need 3 sets of 4m speaker cables as I have a tri-amplified system.
Good cables for a reasonable price are hard to find, and yours look to be the ones...

Also, would you ship to France ?

Regards.

Hi PenguinHiFi,

Thankyou for the kind word. I don't have a 4m version unfortunately, although if you could possibly accommodate 3 sets @ 2.5m lengths instead, I can offer you them at £94.85 including shipping (to France). One time offer! :smashin:

Andy

Hi NST,

Thanks for your offer.
I really appreciate it.
But 2.5m is just too short.
That's what I'm currently running... and it just too short to connect the speakers into the right power amp outputs.

So... too bad.

But I'll check here regularly (and on your website) to see if things are moving.

Regards.

Are these the same cables as sld under the name W&M Audio? Here is a link to a site selling them. http://www.av123.nl/bekabeling/ls01/

They say they are Continuous Cast Pure OFC, where as you satte the Sterling cables are High Purity OFC. This would make a difference to performance and price. May be the Sterling cables are also CCP OFC?

Do you sell any balanced XLR cables?

Thanks

NST
15-08-2008, 10:21 AM
Hi we don't currently sell XLR cables. With regards to the copper type, we only use high purity OFC copper, as there seems to be no real performance benefits when using OCC (Ohno Continuous Casting).
Yes, an OCC cable will be more expensive than an OFC one, due to the manufacturing processes, but the tiny (if any) performance benefit doesn't really justify the added expense.
