Optical versus Coaxial

Hello.

I have been pondering on this for quite a while.

What offers better sound quality;

Coaxial cables or Optical cables?

I was just wondering what opinions people have on this matter.

Re: Optical versus Coaxial

They both give the same results.

Optical has the advantage of electrical isolation.

Re: Optical versus Coaxial

i wondered the same and purchased a high end optical over an average coax and found no difference and resold the optical as i found the optical slightly quieter on my system (not for sound quality)

cheers

Thanks for your replies.

I forgot to add an option to the poll for "Neither".

I cannot seem to edit it in order to add that in.

Re: Optical versus Coaxial

Why no option for they are one and the same? I prefer coax as they don't fall out and are more robust. Optical is allegedly better over a long length.
