Playback Display Issues with LG-GGW-H20L

Hi Everyone,

I recently bought the LG-GGW-H20L Bluray/HD-DVD drive and installed it with no problems.

The issue I get when I playback Bluray/HD-DVD i.e. Troy or Superman Returns via my Samsung 24inch SM-245B monitor using the CyberLink PowerDVD software that was included. The problem occurs when I revert to full screen mode, the bottom half the picture splits and distorts. Using the Cyberlink software to check compatibility, everything is fine and gfreen light and playback in a smaller window is fine. The only issue is when I go full screen and the picture breaks up.

When I change the size of the window the picture comes backs together again. Apologies for the rubbish description. I need to upload a photo to show what I mean.

I have a BFG GeForce 8800GTS 320mb card and running with Intel 2.4GHz CPU/4GB of RAM. This should be more that sufficient for full screen playback.

Could the issue be with the fact that I have my resolution up to 1920X1200 that is causing the bottom half of the picture to break up at full screen.

Or could it be something to do with 8800GTS cards, and the latest drivers from Nivida 169.xx something..?

Any help would be gratefully received

I have had the same problem, easily fixed though.

Just lower Anti Aliasing to 2x or turn it off altogether.

DrugstoreCowboy thanks for the replies so far, I will see later on this evening and lower the Anti Aliasing to 2x or turn it off and see what happens. When you mean lower or turning off the anti aliasing, you refer to the settings under Nivida control panel? I can't recall whether the PowerDVD software has options to turn off the Anti Aliasing...??

Will give it a try and see what happens....

Yeah, it's the one in the Nvidia control panel.
