I think u have to go on a new contract as u can only activate and choose ur contract through itunesas u dont do it instore plus the sim is already in the phone

Hi,
If you had your contract before Sept 19th with O2, you can migrate your contract at no extra cost. When you sync with itunes you say you are an existing customer and enter your current number. O2 then send you a pin code to your existing number which you enter on screen. You then choose your tariff and in about 10 mins your number is ported to the ipone!
I did this with mine on Tues of this week.
