I bought this cable for my iPhone today but just can't get it to work! Only plugged the audio cables into my amp (removed my wii audio cable first) as I'm not bothered about video. I plugged the USB into the socket & the other part into my dock & put my iPhone in the dock

also changed my iPod setting to video out enabled but I just can't get the music to come out my home speakers

can someone please help!!???

thanks, mark

I'm not sure exactly how you're trying to do it as your explanation is quite confusing. I'm sure you're also making it far more complicated then it should be. I presume you're trying to output the sound from your iPhone via your amp. I'm going that right now and all I'm using is a cable with two phono's on one end and a 3.5mm connection at the other end.

The two phonos are connected to the AV in on my amp and the 3.5mm at the other end can either go into the iPhones headphone connection or the 3.5mm connection on the back of the dock. I am listening to music from my iPhone usinh my amp and speakers at the moment.

thats how I had it set up. I have it working now, it only worked when I connected the cable directly to my phone, wouldnt work when was connected through the dock I got with my phone for some reason. Shame really as it wouldve looked good sitting in its dock in my setup
