Blu-ray

I have just installed the pioneer BDC202 drive in my computer and installed anydvd hd and power dvd 7 but when I try to play Die Hard 4 I get an error message about HDCP.

I downloaded the cyberlink diagnostic tool and it says I dont have neccasary HDCP rights.

I am using it on a Sharp XD1E Tv, a Geforce 8500gt sonic and I have the latest drivers installed, it is connected via dvi to hdmi, I have no idea why it will non work.

Can anyone help?

i have the same blu ray player , i am using powerdvd ultra and anydvd hd , and all my bd and hd dvd works fine it sounds like you may need an earlier version of power dvd version 7.33304
this version seems to work great for me , if you do a search online you should be able do find it ,as cyberlink dont do that version on there site anymore.

Re: Blu-ray

have you got a second screen turned on? I run dual screen and it never works if my pc lcd is active. I now have profiles setup the ATI CCC to turn off the pc LCD feed. never had a problem since.

Re: Blu-ray

Works perfectly with PDVD Ultra 3304 & AnyDVD HD via VGA to my Bravia HDTV but as above not if using dualview mode to my LCD which is also connected via VGA.

Re: Blu-ray

no 2nd screen on, just the Sharp, I have tried ripping the files from the blu-ray to my HDD and while it will play it is unwatchable, juddery and strange lines across the screen

Are there any particular options I need to turn on or off in either power dvd or anydvd?

Re: Blu-ray

Are you sure you have the HD license not just normal AnyDVD?

Go to the "About" part of AnyDVD and ensure you have it showing as HD license, if not re-assign your HD license.

Otherwise, don't know why as I've not had to change any options in AnyDVD HD or PowerDVD Ultra (you are using PowerDVD ultra? Not sure if normal PowerDVD 7 works with AnyDVD for HD or not). You could try downloading trial of PoerDVD Ultra to see if anything changes.

Re: Blu-ray

You will only get your setup to work with VGA as there is a break in the HDCP chain, so the up to date versions of pdvd will not work. Your sound must form part of the chain, or usee Anydvd hd to remove the prootection.
