First time buying a DVD writer

Well heres the story the dvd drive writer on my Dell Dimension E521 has died and they are sending me a free replacement. I would also like to install a second drive too so I can copy disc to disc and ive got a spare incase the dell one dies again. The only problem is I have no idea what im looking for or where to find it all i know is I need a black SATA DVD writer? No idea what SATA means or does but its what the technician from dell said I could buy from a shop. Im running Vista if that makes any difference too.

Could do far worse than the on ein the link below

I usually get my kit from these guys. Uusally no problems but do be aware that they have no phone lines so you cant talk to anybody should you wish to.

Online support is a bit hit and miss and email reply took about a day last time I needed to use it.
