projecting anchor bolts?

Hi just a quick question , looking at mounting my 50" plasma on the wall, its a new build with plasterboard ( dot dab) sheets onto a breeze block external wall. Can i use the b&Q projecting anchor bolts in these types of blocks? Or is there a better alternative...?

Have a look at what i have done although when i change it I will just be using the hammer in fixings to hold the wood to the block then using normal wood screws to hold the bracket to the wood. Just now i have the hammer fixings through teh bracket and wood together.
The wall is beginning.

If you use anchor bolts, make a bigger hole (say 30mm) in the plaster board. Then put large washers over the anchor to a depth flush with the finished wall, and set the anchors. If you don't do something like this, when you tighten the bracket up, it will push the palsterboard back to the wall and probably snap it (sounds like the voice of experience, doesn't it.....)

Thanks for the reply guys just one more question, having read many posts i noticed the term of thermolite blocks and the fact that these cannot hold anchor bolts. How do i know if i have thermolite blocks as oposse to normal breeze block? the house was built in 2000.

You can use resin bonded studs like this lot http://www.screwfix.com/cats/100071/...Q5NUCSTHZOSFFY

The studs are bonded into the blocks so no worries about expanding fittings cracking the blocks. I have never used the resin bonded stuff but I believe they are very good for soft blocks or for use near corners.

If you are in doubt, the resin bonded studs are amazingly strong. I've not used them for holding up anything as lightweight as a plasma yet though (seriously)

you can dig a fingernail into thermalite , you cant with concrete
