8400GS/HDMI/HDCP problem

Hello,

Anyone figured out how to make an 8400GS not pretend to send audio data over it's hdmi connection, it's over riding my phono connected sound and I can't find a way to select the audio input to use on my 40" Sony Bravia KDL-W2000.

There is no SPDIF connector on the graphics card so I can't connect my sound to the card.

Hi,

Are you running XP or Vista? If Vista go to the Audio control panel and change the default audio device.

With ATi cards there is an onboard audio chip. No need to loopback from the onboard sound/soundcard (that's the NVIDIA way ).

This topic has been covered quite extensively in other threads but if you need more pointers, let me know.

Sorry I did have a massive post before with all my pc spec's etc but when I hit post It had timed out and I lost it

the 8400GS is a XFX 8400GS an Nvidia card...

I am running vista ultimate on this pc.
