The feeling was that it might look like yet another format. A store might have DVD disks, HD DVD disks, blu-ray disks and total HD disks. Four different categories. For those in the know not a problem but for others ???

I heard the idea was ditched since they have gone Blu-ray. Apparently both retailers and both HD camps were not very much up for it (my monei is that it was Sony who didn't want it).
