if you can wait maybe the upcomming 40ZF will be an option. Word is that it will be out next month and will retail around £1050 best price

Re: 40XF355D vs 37z3030

I love the design of the XF355, I have got one myself.

As above poster said. If you can wait a few months then the ZF with 100hz is coming and also it supports correct 5:5 24fps pulldown.

Having had a Sharp with 100hz I question whether it is really needed. The Toshiba with it's good engineering is as good minus this option.

As for 24fps pulldown I do notice the odd bit of judder on Bluray discs but this is very minimal. 5:5 pulldown in the ZF should help combat the odd scene that would display judder without this option.

For me personally neither stop me from recommending the XF355 as a great TV for its price range.

Re: 40XF355D vs 37z3030

Interesting thead as I am looking at these 2 sets as well. Couple of questions from me

Which would be the best for Sport on sky SD?

Which would be the best for PS3 gaming?

Would love to wait for the ZF but can't justify over a grand!!

Do John Lewis price match on them both?

Any opinions appreciated

Nick

You wont find the Z series in John Lewis I'm afraid, have been looking myself as I would love the 5 year warranty but it seems for some reason they choose not to stock it.
