PS3 Streaming WMV with NO Audio ?

Decided to give the PS3 a work out today by streaming my DVD collection (vob to mpg) and it works great even with DD5.1 audio:thumbsup:

I have some very nice WMV clips with 5.1 audio, but I cant get the audio to engage:thumbsdow

Any ideas???? Fix planned for this ???

Also, why cant I play DTS sound tracks while streaming my DVD collection??
Plays DD5.1 perfect, but no DTS:thumbsdow:thumbsdow

For the wmv files do they have wma audio? If so I don't believe the PS3 supports wma.

It does support WMA, you turn it on in the system menu.

Its a shame you cant play the audio, I have a couple of German WMV Disks that could ripped to my network drives, but there's no point until the sort this out.

Oh well.

ah ha i finally found a post that told me why i could also not hear the audio on the Ps3 :thumbsup:

One question though Bboy-Mass do you get image stutter because I cannot stream the WMV HD video succesfully....Perfect on xbox but then again it would be.

I have Tiversity but the resolution is WAY to low and i have no idea how to in crease it.

Tiversity is a bit rubbish from my experience. Try FUPPES, a free Windows DNLA server. Pretty basic but works.
