Connection of Matsui VP9608 to Virgin HDMI

Hello,

I've been experiencing a flickery screen whilst watching a video ever since my Virgin Media box changed from mere digital to HD (via HDMI socket). This is a shame as i still have many video's and the the VCR itself (Matsui VP9608 - roughly eight years old) has never given me any problems. When i run a dvd player through the same video channel, the picture quality is perfect.

Do I need to change my VCR, or can this problem with the screen be resolved??

You need to tell us how you have it all connected...TV, VCR and Cable?.
Which connection goes where?

Hello Jaycee,

The connection is as follows:

TV - V+ Box via Scart 1 of TV

V+ Box - VCR via Scart 2 of TV

There was no problem with VCR picture until I made the upgrade to HDTV via HDMI switch - although reverting everything back to orginal settings doesn't really see any improvement. Ran another tape through another machine, with the same results, so was interested to learn if this is something that others have encountered.
