Philips Remote - ***!!?!

Hi guys,

Having bought a Philips 32" PFL9632D the whole family is super happy.

But... it came with a different remote to the one in the manual, and I can't for the life of me figure out how to use the 'DVD, STB, VCR and AUX' buttons at the top. (see picture).

On pretty much all philips universal remotes you hold 1 and 3 then type in a code to get the remote to work with other devices. However with this one it doesnt work at all.

Can anyone shed any light on this. Oh, and the remote model no. is RC4401

I think you'll find that this remote will only work with other Philips equipment.

page 5 & page 54 explains, but it look like it will only operate other Philips items.
