It ain't pretty

But I got bass!

Knocked this up in 3 hours last Saturday morning, the thought of being without a sub over the Christmas hols was too much to bear.

Bought the driver from Steve built the 18" square box out of 1" thick MDF, the amp is my old one I had lying around, now resurrected and working. It might not be a PB Ultra but we have got bass in the right department, and it will do until the ship lands with our PC Ultras.

Re: It ain't pretty

nice one mate, you had a good bargain from steve!! i've one sitting idle , still double minded whether to go in plate amp route or EP-2500

BTW, you can wrap up the mdf in Fablon very easily (available in B&Q / other DIY stores)

Looks kinda cool. I wonder how it measures...

BTW, I got a mail from LSound that says the (a) SVS container(s) landed in Norway on the 22nd but due to Christmas the orders wouldn't be reaching doors here until 3 or 4th of January. I guess that the UK shipment comes in via the same boat and if it does, your ultra may be sitting in a warehouse about 3 hours drive from me.

How much are you getting docked for MVA and toll? Must be brutal....

Current prices for gloss black is 15.5k NOK plus 850 NOK for shipping to where I live; that's £1400 and £76.

Price excluding taxes and no shipping is 11,772K NOK or £1063 so that's £350 +/- in taxes.

I had the 5% pre-order discount of course.

Last edited by AdrianMills; 23-12-2007 at 11:02 AM. Reason: mixed up the price for the gloss and textured
