Logitech 895 and RF... and PS3 (Blu-Ray)

Looking to get a Logitech 895 soon.

I got remote console ceiling and side lights, using a B&Q kit that works by sending a RF signal.

Can I programme this into the remote?

I know the 895 sends a RF signal to the receiver, but can you put your own RF signals in it?

Also, anyone use one with their PS3? It doesn't accept Blu-Ray, does it? So there's a little device that plugs into the PS3 to accept infa-red signals. Anyone used this with the 895?

Cheers guys!

On the lights the answer I'm afraid is no.

The PS3 dongles (logic 3 etc) certainly worked well lasy time I tried them. I only borrowed one to try it out and haven't got round to getting one yet but I have heard there might be issues with the latest firmware using them?

For your lights, the only RF devices you can directly control (ie without an IR-RF converter) are those that use the Z-Wave protocol. If your current lights aren't Z-Wave compliant, you could replace them with some that are which would allow the 895 to control them.

Ah bummer. Oh well, I'll just use the seperate remote for the lights (easier for the family too).

Anyone heard any more about the firmware issue?
