URGENT HELP PLEASE - dvd/vcr combi???

Chaps,

I am agonising between the Philips DVP3350 or the Samsung DVD 6700....

They both appear to do the same (its for my mother...she just wants to be able to watch dvd's and her old vhs tapes..not bothered about recording onto dvd)

The Samsung i can get for around £69.99 while the Philips is £89.99....

There are a few subtle differences between the two but not much....

I would really like feedback from anyone who has tried either product?

Is Philips better than Samsung when it comes to these dvd/vcr combi's - or does Samsung win? Thr Philips LOOKS better..

I NEED TO ORDER TODAY TO GUARANTEE CHRISTMAS DELIVERY, hence the urgent request....

samsung doesn't have video plus! i'd most probably get the samsung though. neither machine fills me with much confidence and i'd rather save £20.

Thanks for the replies. But can you expand on why neither machine fills you with much confidence??

I am open to suggestions, in the same price bracket.

I have simply chosen these two because these are the two I could find that did what I needed (ie, combined a dvd with a VCR)
