PC editing - suitable graphics card?

I want to get a DV camcorder and edit on my PC, possibly burn to DVDR as well as outputting to VHS... (urghh)

Is it best to get a Radeon 9000 AIW card for this sort of thing or do I need a just IEEE1394 card only?

My existing AGP card is a GF2MX dual view, so I can output composite or Svideo already.. any improvements if I use an All in Wonder Radeon?

Possibly like to capture PAL DV and output NTSC for USA friends (I have a NTSC record video)

PC specs:

Asus CUSL2 with P3 800Mhz
256Mb ram
20 G drive (new 80g 7200rpm soon!)
SB Live Drive2 platinum

am I wasting my time with this 'old' setup or is there still hope !?

Thanks for any help

O.

If you already have TV-Out on your card then changing to an all-in-wonder wont make any difference.

You'll need a firewire card, to capture from DVD to your NLE, and you can use your tv out to output to vhs, but you are much better off sending the footage back to the DV camera via DV-in and having a DV master of your finished edits, then dupe vhs copies from the dv master by dubbing from DV cam to VHS recorder.

radeon all-in-wonder would be useful for capturing non-dv footage to your pc, and recording TV programs.
