Samsung PS42C7 totally broken? 14m old

Guess what, my warranty just ran out last month, and the television i have been cherishing has as far as i can see.

Totally given up the will to live.

A few months ago while i watched sky i would get a little fuzzy line running across my screen, i assumed it was my sky box or my scart lead or something.

The line progressively got fatter again i just thought it was my sky box which would not have been a problem to replace.
And just an hour ago while playing on the xbox, the tv starts turning itself on and off again. On and Off i cannot get control of it,on and off and on and off and no image is displayed for more than a second before its turned itself off again.

Anyone have any ideas / suggestions / links to other threads? im totally distraught and i NEED a television so if it turns out i wont be able to get it fixed and its complex issue, i think ill end up going and buying a new tv tomorro.


Can someone recommend me a decent HD tv that comes with a good warrany, this tv is 42" and + / - a few inches wont worry me. Thank you if you are reading this now.
