Is it possible to stream liveTV from one pc to another?

I have a htpc connected to a satellite box in the living room. Is it possible to view the live TV from the satellite on another pc in the bedroom via streaming? or will streaming only work with files resting on the HTPC?

I know that it is possible to stream live TV from a Dreambox to another PC using a Linux version of VLC.

I should imagine that what you want to do is possible.

I am having a lot of issues setting up file sharing. If I can get that working I can start looking at streaming live TV.

Or you can buy a Slingbox, connect that up to your satellite box and that will send it to any pc on the network, or over the web at reduced quality.
