Best setting's for sub on DENON2808 ??

Ive just had a new DENON 2808 to replace my old DENON 3802, ive just plonked my new DENON on my old 1 & set everything exacly as i did my old 3802, but i seem to have lost all my bass from my REL Q50....

Ive checked all the setting's on the amp & all seems fine.. all the connections are same as per before..but hardly any bass with the new Denon as with the old Denon... can anyone explain the reason for this...??

At the moment im watching standard dvd's, but in the new year im going down the blu-ray route, thats the reason i got the 2808.

Ive just watched the beginning of ICE AGE (the first1) with my 3802 the room shook, but with my 2808.. hardly a thud
im sure there's an easy explanation, but im damned if i can figure it, as i said ive checked all the setting's both connections & using the on-screen set-up
Hope some 1 can help !!!

Seems you need to set the amp to LFE and main, for some reason, same as the 4308.
God knows why

Which is not the way everyone else does it.
Indeed, even the older Denons didn't do this.

Convention/consensus says this is wrong.

Anything to upset things is how it seems to me

Why do they have to mess, when things are hard enough to explain to newcomers to the hobby already
