Simple Home Cinema Set Up

I am soon to take the plunge and get either a Panny 42PX70 or a Samsung 42Q97HDX and want to add a simple but effective home cinema systme to it.

I'm not after anything too flashy, merely something to improve upon the standard sound from either tv as I hear both are quite average. It will be used with Virgin SD and PS3

I have a large living room, but don't really want clutter things with wires and rear speakers so am looking for a 2.1 system ideally.

I'd appreciate any tips.

I too have a big big room, the system i have is a Sony DAVDZ830W which gives out 1200w which sounds brilliant.

I also did not want the clutter of cables so this system was handy due to the surround sound speakers (Rear) are wirless, you do have to connect the right and left rear speakers together but not to the system.

Comet selling for 500 but you can get it for 350ish see review, it where i got mine from next day delivery.
