Re: EP-30 & EP-35 in this months HCC.

They are reviewed as one so one score for both, that being 4 out of 5. Seemingly marked down for bad design?

Amyway, the article mentions about 5 times that the EP35 has HDMI 1.3 and that the EP30 only has HDMI 1.2. Which is plain bad research as it takes 2 seconds on the tosh website to see they both have 1.3.

The review doesn't say anything we all dont know but fails to report any problems such as freezing.

Re: EP-30 & EP-35 in this months HCC.

Re: EP-30 & EP-35 in this months HCC.

The 35 has been getting loads of good press everywhere but i am not convinced. It is not bad but not as good as they say (picture wise)

I am waiting for my copy of transformers to see if this is any good.

I think that's a bit of a red herring too. HDMI cables is all smoke and mirrors imho....

I have a feeling you lobbed that particular grenade in to provoke a reactionI had great fun last year in an other forum when I said that you needed to spend about £200 on a HDMI cable to get a substantial difference in picture quality.Posters were frothing at the mouth attacking me

I didn't say that there was a better player out there as i haven't tried any others. I am using a QED HDMI-P cable.

I have only seen 300 and Bourne Supremacy and they are nowhere near as good picture quality as sky HD. Sky Hd is the only reference point i have. Incidentally i am using a cheap HDMI cable for Sky HD!

Transformers is supposed to be good so i will try that soon.

Before this i had a Denon DVD-1930 and i would say the EP35 on HD DVD is no better than SD upscaled to 1080P on the Denon to my eyes.
