Philips Prestigo SRU9600 For my GrandParents

My grandparents have a few bits of kit and bless them get in a bit of a muddle when trying to control them all. They have a Panny 32" LCD, Sky, Panny DVD and a Panny surround sound kit - all fairlly basic but it serves them well.

When they saw my Harmony 525 they wanted to get one, but I am slightly concerned about setting it up for them if they buy one for themselves as they dont have a PC or Broadband, so I wondered whether the Philips Prestigo SRU9600would do them justice?

Any thoughts?

TIA

Re: Philips Prestigo SRU9600 For my GrandParents

Well I have ordered one for them and it should be here soon. Does anyone know if it will be OK with the Panny TV?

I know my 525 struggled switching between the AV Channels until a 2 hours phone call to Canada, and even now it occasionally plays ups .

As far as I know it doesn't have any kind of state memory or variables, so you won't be able to set up macros including input selection for the TV.

The Harmony is the only affordable remote I know of that has state memory and will control the Panasonics reliably
