Went to see this at the brand new (opened on Friday) all-digital Vue cinema in Hull-the first of it's kind in Europe so they claim!
I have to say that my jaw ached so much from grinning at what can only be described as pure joy unfolding on the screen in front of me! It is a perfect Disney film...a massive, massive success! Everything it attempts is superb, all of the jokes hit their mark and then some; the songs are brilliant and it even manages to send the whole Disney "thing" up with tongue firmly in cheek!
Both my wife and I LOVED it!!!
I am still humming a couple of the melodies at my desk this morning, smile firmly planted on face!
10/10
Nice one. Sounds like the film to take the kids to during the holiday.:smashin:

I'd give the trailer 10/10 on its own!!!
i saw the trailer ages ago and it made my smile and i've heard nothing but gd things since so will be watching this for sure. looked like its made mostly for kids but i think this is one of these films that has a lot to offer for adults as well, with all the references to all the disney films made over the years.
looking forward to watching!

I have to disagree. I took my wife, 7yo son and 10yo daughter to see this yesterday on the strength of the trailer and a 4star review in one of the tabloids.
Anticipating the ironic romp across the fairytale genre promised in the trailer we we given a listless rom com that painfully lurched from one set piece to another. James Marsden was great but everyone else looked as bored as the audience that we endured this with. It could, and should have been so much better.
A very similar misfire to 'My Super Ex-Girlfriend' and definately not one for the younger kids.

Totally agree! Went to see it with my wife too, I must admit I wasnt expecting much as I hadnt seen the trailer, but it was fantastic to say the least, I couldnt stop laughing! Awesome.
Better late than never, but I saw this today. What a great film! Really clever, very funny, a real feel-good movie.
With that premise, it could have been one of the biggest stinkers of all time but they pull it off. Highly recommended!
The girl who plays Giselle is just brilliant.

Did you see it at the new Vue in Hull? That place is superb...except for the queues!

I haven't seen 'Enchanted' but I went to the new Vue to see 'I Am Legend' a couple of weeks ago. I have to say that, in my book, it gets the crown of 'Best Cinema in Hull'. I was amazed that they managed to fit screens of that size onto the Top Deck of Princes Quay. Not only that but the seats are excellent with lots of leg room plus the picture and sound are better than any other cinema I've been to.

I totally agree, I like the Reel cinema too but it is nowhere near as advanced as the Vue.

I went to the Reel cinema as I hadn't realised that the new Vue @ Prinny Quay was open yet. Reel was pretty good. Good popcorn & right by Nandos.
I may have to check out the Vue this weekend! :smashin:

No decent screen in big old London? Are we Hull-ites so priviliged? Seriously though, I was as surprised as anyone when Vue announced that their new multiplex would be the first "all digital" one in Europe and that it would be located in Hull of all places. The problem is we have four multiplex cinemas and they all play the same films. I mean, not one of them is showing 'No Country For Old Men'! It's all well and good for Vue Hull to go on about their 10 Terabyte computer server which can "store over 100 movies" but highly annoying when they don't even use it to run one of the year's critical favourites.

Yeah I was very upset about No Country For Old Men not being on in Hull at all...luckily I live close enough to York to be able to get there with little hassle...the City Screen is also a lovely cinema.
