Sky packages

Been with sky for over 10 years now, pay £45 a month for the full package. Have paid for sentanta sports for £10 a month and have paid for a number of pay per view movies. Not once in this time have they given me a discount or a complimentary gift. They even tried to charge me £60 to repair a fault but I wasnt having it so they came out for free.

I have sent them an email with my concern. Im going to threaten to cancel my package hoping they will give me a better package.

I dont know if this is asking too much, this is my question to you guys, do you think Im asking to much if I demand sky hd subscription and multiroom subscription both for £10 a month plus a sky hd box for £100 and free installation.

Do you think I would get it because lets face it, I could rent unlimited hd movies for £10 a month, and get all the free channels on my sky box if I cancel.

Sport is the only issue, is there any way to get premiership and champions league football for free online or anything.

You can ask although it's highly unlikely to happen, demanding certainly won't work.

BTW this is in the wrong section

Re: Sky packages

since sky took over the footie on the screens there has been a problem . now we got setanta as well. by the way sky owners have a percentage in sentanta tv.. The problem is lack of competition means they can charge the earth.. But help is at hand. There is currently a court case going on between sky and a pub landlord. he could not afford the 5K sky wanted for the sports channels so he decided to get a better deal from a foreign satellite broadcaster for less than half the price. Now if sky loses the case due to" fair trade policy" of our govt regarding satellite broadcasting. (note sky are incourt over them buying shares illegally (alledged) of ITV. the ballon willgo up and the price of sport on tv will godown if sky wins both cases they can charge as much as they like to the consumer
