If you can get your hands on it the Mission Impossible box set is good IMO and Hellboy (purchased second hand from Blockbuster Video for £6) is good fun as well.

The three Pirates of the Caribbean films. However, if time and/or funds are limited go for the first one.

Black Hawk Down and Crimson Tide are other titles to keep an eye out for as well.

Apocolipto is amazing! Also, The three Pirates of the Caribbean films, Starship troopers and 300 are excellent. Casino Royal isnt a great film imo but the PQ and AQ is top drawer.

Re: blu-ray films not to be missed?

A few of my personal favourites here.

Identity is a pretty intelligent, well made, and superbly acted thriller, which looks and sounds great.

A Few Good Men is a fine courtroom drama which looks lovely.

I don't have the BD yet, but OldBoy is a fantastic film - from the very top drawer. I understand that the BD isn't perfect, but looks better than the SD DVD. In that case it's well worth buying.

I also haven't yet bought the BD of The Company of Wolves, but again the BD apparently looks better than the SD DVD, and it's an unusual, rewarding film.

Re: blu-ray films not to be missed?

Pixar's Cars is available from the US and is region free - been watching it no problem on my UK PS3 - awesome PQ.

Open Season is good too.

...as you can see I have 3 yr to entertain

Agree with Casino Royale too, although the opening sequence thats in B&W has a grain to it, the opening titles are phenomenal.

Another vote for "IDENTITY". Awesome disc and film.

It's good for an old movie but not a patch on Blade Runner.

Not a movie but can I suggest 'Lost' on Blu-ray. Really really nice transfer and uncompressed 5.1 soundtrack do it real justice.
