The Departed Blu-ray Region Coding Problem

I just rented The Departed on Blu-ray from Blockbusters but when I got home my Sony BDP-S300 player wouldn't play the disc stating it was the incorrect region code. The code on the disc says "B" and the disc had been rented before with no problems. I checked all my other discs and they were fine. I also have the latest firmware installed. Anyone else experience this?
