Im looking at the network streaming side of things as im sick to death of ripping DVD's. Few of my mates have the Linksys 1600 Kiss - which, they rate. I dont and think its atse of time.

So iv narrowed it down to the above mentioned, does anybody have any experience with these devices? i understand that streamers are always prone to somethig wrong but on the whole i think these look good. The formats they support are perfect for me.

Any comments would by sound!

This is the place to go to if you want the lowdown on all of these players.

They rated the Tomacro quite highly at first but it seems to have gone down in their estimation.

Stay away from the Tomacro the support is poor. Firmware upgrades are now few and far between here's an article on Tomacro:-

Get yourself a media streamer with EM8634/5 chipset as it handles HD formats and other formats really well.

The two models to look out for are the Popcornhour, you can pre-order now via MPC, or the soon to be released 6500. It will be about the same price as the 5100. There are reviews available over at MPC:-

Agree completely. I have both of these on order, so we'll do a head to head. :)

When they arrive.

Do not buy the tomacro... support seems to have almost stopped.. 6500A is pretty cool got mine today.. or maybe try the popcornhour which is cheap if you can get hold of one :)

Should the Tomacro be able to play M2TS files ripped from Bluray as I have ripped a few including Spiderman 3 and Pirates at worlds end but neither will play without constant stuttering of the audio and video.

I doubt it as its the older chip which had issues with m2ts on the tvix 4100 as well..

I have got Tomacro's LimHD300i - the latest technoglogy media player.

I personally tested it. It works fine. Amazing 1080p quality.

Check out it in ebay if you want to buy.

My Tomacro 200i worked fine for 2 months then stopped working. No support from Tomacro available. Avoid this and go for something like TViX 7000
