Lights are green. Go go go !

I thought I'd better get an entry in. I've struggled this month, not with taking a picture, but choosing which one to enter. As a bit of a motorsport enthusiast I've taken quite a few at the racetrack, but have been pondering if they really suit the 'transport' theme or not. My other attempts have involved shooting trains and show cars, but I've not really been happy with the end result. So this is my effort for this month. Gone back to motorsport...

Brands Hatch Nov 10th. The Night Car event, which was another thing altogether. Anyway, mid afternoon the Lotus Elise Trophy race went out to form the grid. I'm not sure what the collective noun for several Lotuses is, but here's my effort:

Nikon D80
70-200VR
F/2.8
1/1250s
ISO 100
125mm
ISO should be embedded.

Re: Lights are green. Go go go !

Nice shot. Like the 'jaunty' angle and particularly the shallow DoF.

Nice colours, dynamic angle, and I like the DOF as well. Looks like fun (but much better around there on a motorbike though!).

Re: Lights are green. Go go go !

I like just about everything about this shot apart from the unatural angle which ruins it for me, sorry.

Re: Lights are green. Go go go !

I like it, the angle makes it different, although maybe not such an acute angle may have helped.

This is great. I like the angle and the DoF. Good entry.

Re: Lights are green. Go go go !

Thanks for the kind comments everyone.

Angles like this aren't for everyone, but in this case I used it to cut out some ugly trackside objects from the corners.

Thanks MrChris, I'll go with the Partridge Loti

It's actually in the first 10 seconds of the video clip on youtube ... if I'd known that then I'd have linked in the first place

Enjoy all the same!
