Samsung SM2032MW vs LG M228WA

i'm picking out a Christmas present and I'm looking at an LCD TV for a bedroom around the 20-22inch size. I'm stuck between the two monitors; one being the samsung 20" and the other the LG 22". Both seem very good although I've heard bad things about the sound quality on the LG. The samsung however i've heard nothing but good things.

can anyone give a first hand review and offer some tips?

Hi green01,

Bit late I know, but I've just joined. I'm sure you've bought something now, it's definitely past Christmas!
I got a LG M228WD (built in digital tuner - why do they even sell TVs with only analogue?) for my son just recently and as I expected the sounds not up to much. From what I've read all the smaller TVs haven't got a good sound, it's tinny because there's no space to boost the lower frequencies.
I assume the Samsung is the same.

What did you get in the end? How's the sound?
