Just received my box set of Band of Brothers from Play, it has come in the special tin box!! I thought they had run out of the tins?!

I think you are quite lucky, but apparantly MVC are another company who also have them. I think they are hard to come by in certain areas, but obviously, in other areas they are not.

Depends on whether its region 1 or 2. The region 1's still come in a tin box. I got mine from Amazon in Canada - cost about £45 inc delivery, took 2 whole days to get here. The tin looks very good - prob my best looking DVD.

My one is even more limited than yours, mine has a whopping great dent on the arse of it and I was charged £12.51 which I did get refunded. Or was that rare from CD WoW? Lol. Anyway Im on episode 4 next and Im happy. :) Ah R1 Field Guide and DTS :) DTS = IM THERE DUDE!

The boxed tin is still available in HMV and Virgin, certainly in manchester because I saw them today. However, you will have to foot the full retail price of something like £59.99 :( ( I think)

i heard a rumour that they reprinted the tin set after the christmas rush had died down, so they should be pretty easy to get hold of at the moment.
but don't worry you're still lucky, you could have got some of the interim stock in card packaging and then seen the tin set everywhere a week later.

You have all made me feel very sad now. I wanted the tin but could not find one anywhere. :(

Anyone care to sell me their tin?

I don't seem to be luck at the moment as I didn't get a fridge magnet with MIB2 nor a tin with BOB

My tin is extra special :). I sent it off to a metalworks company and had the silver sandblasted off and powder-coated in a lovely brushed gold finish. Only cost $120 but the drawback is that during the sandblasting process, all the titles and lettering were removed so my tin is just plain gold now.
