Sony KV 32 LS60 engineers menu questions

Does anyone else have this set ?

Mine has been in for repair, im not happy with the company that did the repairs and have had to re calibrate the tv because thay left it with a bad picture and blured left side of the screen.

Just wanted to check some of the settings with another owner.

thanks

Re: Sony KV 32 LS60 engineers menu questions

all depends on what remote u have, if you have a sony remote that is quite long and slim with a button in the middle that displays VCR/TV/DVD with a little green light then that'll let u into the service menu, u need to get the green light on TV then hold the yellow text button for about 4-5 seconds and as it starts to flash quickly press the 9 button 5 times then all of those 3 lighit will light up, then u point the remote at the tele and press the VCR power button 2 times and as u do that TT will be displayed in the top right of the screen, when u get loads of stuff come up on the screen press the normal menu button then ur in the service menu BUT BEWARE OF WHAT YOU CHANGE, MAKE NOTES OF ALL THE ORIGINAL SETTINGS !

keep us posted !

ur tele is the widescreen one right

if u know how to get into the settings then u shud know well enuf that every tv has its own unique settings, its abit like the cooking directions on food packaging, eg: cook for 25 minutes on gas mark 5 that might be just the right amount of time but other cookers will probably need more time or burn the food

Yes i do no that settings will be different of different tv's.

I was after specific settings that would be the same on all tv's.

Re: Sony KV 32 LS60 engineers menu questions

I have a similar telly. KV32.
There is a nother way to get in the service menu.
It would be nice to have a list of "Default" settings. My feeling is that it also depends on what market the set was sold in determins what u get.

Most of all though there are several improvments that can be made by altering some codes.
I used to play with the settings quite a bit trying to improve pic qual for PC an Sat, all trial an error but did make a not of what original setting did.
What's a pain though because there just isnt a list or instructions anywhere its a game of chance that even when making notes u can screw things up. Also changing settings in one screen mode i.e.4/3 - 16/9 effects the others ???? No one tells u this.
BUT the bennefits from screwing around can be amazing.
I discovered additional options when entering TT numbers such as resetting hour counter. Activating extra menu options such as turn on / turn off timers and best of all made a MASSIVE diference to the sound quality by activating the built in sub speaker boxe
