Helen Mirren in "Excalibur". A nice thought.

Hi,
Sadly, "Prime Suspect" (and all the subsequent episodes and mini-movies) never got a DVD release anywhere in the world. "PS", "PS2" and "PS3" did get double-tape VHS releases, and some larger branches of HMV will have those in stock, if you look in their TV Drama sections.
Alternatively, UK Gold tend to repeat them fairly regularly, and Granada Plus have done in the past as well, though I don't think G+ holds the rights any longer.
Be warned though: only Prime Suspect's 1, 2, 3 and 4 are approved and endorsed by original author Lynda LaPlante. "PS5" (which had three two-hour movies) and "PS6" (again, another 2-hour movie) aren't really in the same vein, as they are set in Manchester, as opposed to London, and aren't written by any of the original PS staff. Basically, ITV decided to milk the proverbial cash-cow with PS5 and 6, which is a shame.
Hope that helps.
