Angel Season 1 Problem

Hiya,

I'm having problems with my Angel Season 1 boxset. I know this has been discussed before, but I can't find this specific problem.

On disk six, the last episode won't load most of the time, I have got it playing once - stopped it, then it wouldn't resume. Sometimes the disk won't load at all.

I've cleaned my lens and the DVD to no affect.

I also get a similar problem with my Buffy (R1) boxsets (although not as bad). Also didn't notice it first time I watched Season 2.

I'm using a Pioneer 444 player.

BTW Angel plays fine on DVD-ROM, and all my other disks play fine on the Pioneer.

Does anyone know if this is a player problem/disk problem/combination of both.

just out of interest is the angel R1 or R2?
I have just ordered the R2 season 1 and will looko out for the hassle when it arrives.

I'm going to contact them today and see what they say!

I went through the whole set last night and I've got problems with disk 2 and 3 aswell!!!!

I have the R2 boxset of season 1 and I tested all the discs on both my DVD players (LG4710 and Toshiba SD220) and my friend's DVD player( Arcam DV27).

No faults with discs or player incompatibility on any player so it could be that there is a fault in the boxset that you own. Contact dvd.co.uk and see what they have to say on the matter.

I've spoken to dvd.co.uk and they've told me to send the offending discs back, and thay'll send out replacements.
