General LCD wallmounting preferences...

Hi all,

Got my first LCD on order at the moment, very excited!

I'm torn between a mount that's flush to the wall or one that levers slightly. I do prefer the look of it as close to the wall as possible, but worry that the height I'd have to have it, given a fireplace, means the viewing angle might be compromised.

What's your preference?

Is there a typical formula for working out the angle based on distance from the TV and height of TV from the ground...or is that wishful thinking!?

Cheers

Re: General LCD wallmounting preferences...

Hi
There is no hard and fast rule but I would recommend the centre of the screen is at eye level or no more than 10 degree up. You do not want to be looking up at the screen as this will be uncomfortable in time.

Re: General LCD wallmounting preferences...

Thanks for that, been taking a look about to see the options. Can anyone recommend the best mount if I want it as close to flush to the wall as possible? For a 46LCD.

Much obliged.
