iPhone showing "call forwading active" when making a call?

How to hide "Call forwarding active" message...

This only works with 1.1.1 firmware

Well, some people get a "call forwarding active" message every time they do a call.

There is a simple way to hide this message:

Download the file on your iPhone called com.apple.carrier.plist found at /var/root/Library/Preferences/ and edit the key ShowCallForwarding to be <false/>. Reboot! There you go, you don't get that annoying message anymore :-)

There are two settings in com.apple.carrier.plist:

ShowCallForwarding: Message shown on outgoing calls, if your number is beeing forwarded.
ShowCallForwarded: Message shown on incoming calls, if caller has been forwarded to you.

I have used this site to remove my 'call forwarding' message - http://www.sendowski.de/2008/01/28/f...sgfix-fur-113/.

It works fine on 1.1.4.

Translate the webpage on Google Translate and follow the instructions, which will now add the forwardmsgfix for 1.1.4 to the 'Tweaks (1.1.4)' category.

I phoned my mobile company to stop voicemail service. Now the call forwarding message is gone! Hooray. Both were nuisance anyway.

5 Go to 1.1.4 tweaks in the install section
6 ForwardMSGfix 1.1.4 will be there for you

Why not enable call waiting!? 'Problem' solved as well...

PS I fail to see why it is a problem as call forwarding is active when you are on the phone unless call waiting is enabled...
